THANK YOU FOR YOUR VISIT.  YOU ARE OUR
The North Wexford Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is the coming together of people who have a compassion for animals and an intolerance of animal cruelty. Their mission is to stop animal cruelty and, like most community organisations, they come together when people see a need and they want to effect change.

The NWSPCA, as a charity will, by all lawful means, prevent cruelty, promote kindness to and alleviate suffering of animals. It intends to achieve its mission by: effecting strong organisation work dedicated to providing a public service, delivering effective relief of animal suffering and enforcing the law; working tirelessly to reduce the harmful impact of human activities on animals through education, campaigning and the application of ethics, science and law; striving for the highest levels of efficiency, effectiveness and integrity; and urging that, save where the public benefit requires, humankind should not intentionally cause suffering to any animal when it is not for its own benefit, or cause suffering by neglect. This applies whatever the animal, or the situation in which it finds itself.

Breda's First Day at School

Breda, an abandoned lady with a definite Afghan Hound resemblance, is well known locally. She was a guest at a talk given by the North Wexford SPCA to Ms. Ciara Walsh’s Third Year Class at Gorey Community School on Friday, January 18th.

At that time, she was nameless and the option to name her was given to students present – they selected Breda! She proved to be a great visitor taking everything in her stride, showing how good-natured she is.

The Society thanks the Class: Tracey, Megan, Caroline, Vickie, Chelsea, Lisa, Laura, Michelle, Anthony, Saoirse, Jim, Laura, Jonathan, Mark, Lee, Lisa, Brian, John and Becky for their interest in animal welfare, their kind invitation and their generous hospitality.

Currently Breda is looking for a home – if you are interested, contact the Society on 087-6392531

Time to Spare?

We always need volunteers to help give our dogs some exercise.

If you drop the kids off to school in the morning and have a free hour or are out getting exercise in the afternoon or evening for an hour, why not take a dog for a walk?

It's a bit of fun and also good company on your walk. Why not try it?

Give us a call on (087) 6392531.

Thank you.
TH VISITOR.  PLEASE COME BACK AGAIN SOON
